We are pleased to announce a solo exhibition, “Colors, Shapes, and Spaces,” by contemporary artist Nanae Higashi, at tagboat.
Higashi graduated in 2024 with a master’s degree in oil painting from the Graduate School of Tama Art University. During her time as a student, she won top prizes in several competitions, marking her as a promising artist expected to achieve even greater success in the future.
Her work, which combines delicate line drawing with bold colors, reflects the subtle sensations that exist between consciousness and the unconscious, depicting her unique perspective on time and space.
In this second solo exhibition at tagboat, the artist will showcase works focused on the three elements she has been exploring: color, shape, and space. Particularly noteworthy is the large-scale piece (F120 size) that was unveiled at her graduation exhibition, now joined by new works in the series. These pieces depict complex spaces woven by lines, creating a multi-layered dimension by merging two different perspectives within a single artwork.
We invite you to experience the latest creations of Nanae Higashi, as she challenges the boundaries of visual expression in a new dimension.
Regarding sales on the opening day, October 4 (Fri):The works will be available for priority sale at the venue from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on October 4 (Fri).
